The extensive renovation of the legendary Original Sokos Hotel Vantaa will begin in January 2024.

The extensive renovation of the legendary Original Sokos Hotel Vantaa will begin in January 2024. During the renovation, the hotel rooms will get a brighter and more modern look, and the entire first floor will be renovated with reception, meeting rooms and restaurants to serve customers and their diverse needs even better than today.

Original Sokos Hotel Vantaa is located next to the railway station and the Tikkurila shopping centre, which is ideal for both leisure and business customers. As a result of the renovation, the hotel's versatile facilities will become even more comfortable and functional. Tikkurila is one of Vantaa's fastest growing hubs, and its attractiveness is increased by the continuous, strong development of services, transport systems and recreational areas.

The new fresh and modern rooms, conference facilities and restaurant world will be implemented in two phases

The first phase of the renovation of Original Sokos Hotel Vantaa will be carried out between January and October 2024. By November a new look will be given to the 157 hotel rooms in the main part of the hotel, including corridors and elevator lobbies, the reception facilities on the first floor, and the multifunctional, full-service meeting rooms, whose technology will be modernized to meet the different needs of customers.

The restaurant world will also be renewed. The familiar and cozy social restaurant Pub Hertas will be the first to open to customers in April 2024. Other restaurants, such as the revamped Amarillo, the legendary Tulisuudelma and nightclub Night, will open in November 2024, and there will also be something completely new in store for the hotel restaurants.

The second phase of the renovation will be completed in spring 2025, when the 100 hotel rooms, corridors in the hotel's extension wing and the conference facilities will be ready for customers.

- The hotel's 265 rooms and 14 banquet and meeting rooms of different sizes are transformed into stylish and high-quality facilities that meet even the most demanding needs. Among other things, the auditorium for 100 people will be modernized and is ideally suited for high-quality press conferences, trainings, and seminars. And after the meeting day, it's nice to relax in the completely renovated sauna area," says Martin Andergård.

The hotel property is owned by the public sector pension provider Keva, for whom the renovation is a significant investment.

- Hotel Vantaa has a special meaning for us, as it is one of Keva's first real estate investments from about 35 years ago. We have had long-term and good cooperation with Sokotel also in planning this renewal. With the renovation, we ensure that the property offers a functional setting also in the future, says Leeni Andersson, Keva's Business Premises Portfolio Manager.

The look and interior design of the conference rooms and hotel room floors has been done by Vallila Interiors. The restaurants are designed by Visionary Design Partners.
